| Beaufort, North Carolina, a prank on a student goes terribly wrong and puts the student hospital. Landon Carter, a popular student with no defined plan for the future, is responsible for community service activities after school as punishment, which include starring in the lead role part of the school to participate. Also participated to these activities is Jamie Sullivan, the daughter of ReverendSean ambitions and nothing in common with Landon. When Landon decides he wants to take his activities seriously, he asks Jamie for help and begins to spend most of his time. But it is the development of his deep feelings, he begins to do something he did not expect. They begin a relationship, much Landons friends old and venerable father of popular jamies strict grief.
